This purse was $4. It is brand new. Still had the tissue paper and silica sachet inside.

Pair of $4 pants for my daughter. Great condition.

Autumn buys

I have some Autumn purchases to show you all.
A great find first up. An as new copy of Chemical Free Kids for $3 at Mill Park Savers.

This silicone baking tray was found on the same day, also $3. I have soap making plans for this.

Another huge cane basket for our house - $20. As much as I think $20 is a bit steep for an op shop, these baskets sell for a whole lot more new.

Super cute milk jug $4 from Greensborough Savers

Two cute girls singlets that were $2 each also from GB.

Size 5 jeans in great condition $3

A size 6 pair in even better condition $4

A book for my girl $3

This electronic game was $13. I thought it was too dear, but a friend was with me and she said the batteries alone would cost a lot, and they were still working, so I got it. It has been a great purchase. My boy is learning so much from it.

Not all of these things were found on the same day and I have forgotten a few of the other things I have bought as I don't seem to get my camera out as quick these days.

New year shopping

Here are some new purchases to kick off the new year! All from Savers Mill Park or Greensborough. All purchased in the last 3 weeks.

This top is gorgeous on. It is a very smooth satin. I don't think it has been worn before as there is still a plastic tag tie attached to it, where the price tag once was, on the inside sizing label. It was a bargain at $4. Sorry for the rotated images, not sure how to correct them.

A lovely red cotton shawl/wrap, in excellent condition $6

My new favourite colour on me, Green! I have been picking up a lot of green items lately. This shirt was $6

This sequined wrap was bought to match a wedding outfit. Still not sure if I will use it or not. It would make a good dress-up box item if I don't. $5

Two books. The Lotus Birth one I will give away, I know plenty of people who would want it. Looking forward to reading the Alfie Kohn one.

A matching bag and shoes to wear to that wedding I mentioned. The bag was $2!! But I got it for $1 as it was 50% off bags today. The shoes look barely worn and they were $12.99 Makes up for the huge amount I spent on the dress I bought.

While I was at it I found these amazing shoes. Brand new, leather and in the same style as the ones I picked up a year or so ago, remember? They were $14.99, but still a great price for new shoes.

Gardening book, $3.

And finally some games I will tuck away for the children. This one need some dice.

Dinosaur jigsaw. Like new. It will be a bit ore of a challenge for my son as there are pieces to go within larger pieces.

One of those old fashioned cube style puzzles, where there is a picture on all six sides. Following pic will explain what I mean.

Some more clothes and fabric

Had a bit of a clothes shop the other week while at Savers in Mill park. Grabbed this shawl off the rack en route to change room and really liked it. Pity it is not wool, but the pink really suits me and it was very snuggly on. $5

This shiny silver top was another good find. Very light and flowing. $6

Loving this green on me at the moment, this one is all cotton. $5

No tag at all. Guessing it could be silk though. Great condition, really liking this steel grey. $5

Couldn't go past this cord material. Much nicer colours in real life though.

Another shot of it along side some stretchy brown cord and a lovely green crushed velvet look fabric. All have photographed terribly.

I picked up these Christmas cards months ago for $2 a packet. They are Earth Greetings cards and are all printed on 100% post consumer paper with plant inks. They may be last season's, but I am not fussed!

Matching gift tags. There are seriously a squillion packs there. I forget what they cost me now, they were bundled altogether.

A few things

I haven't posted in ages. I'm sorry. We have been busy selling our house and buying a new one. I haven't been op shopping as much these days either. I have a bunch of bits and pieces from the last few months around here to photograph and some pics on the hard drive to post, but I thought I would post the ones off the camera I have.

I have been finding a lot of material lately. I am starting to really enjoy sewing and what better way to practice than on material that doesn't cost a lot. This cotton was $5 and there was 10 metres of it! I have already made myself some PJ pants with it. They were ok for a first attempt. I have plenty more fabric to get it right.

These books were recent finds too. Beyond the Rainbow Bridge was $3 and it is in perfect condition. I already have Buddhism for Mothers, but this copy is for my sister. It was $3 also.

I have seen The Dance of Anger mentioned before and it looked interesting, so was happy t find a copy of it for $3. The Fiona Horne book looked like fun and was only $2. I thought I could use some of the 'spells' in our new space :)

Where have I been?

We are preparing to sell our home, so I have not been op-shopping as much as I once did. The idea is to unclutter the house you see, not clutter it up more. I do still have a look when I get a chance though and the children begged to go to Savers today. Our purchases prompted me to post here.

Firstly, this Willow Tree figurine. They had it under collectables and it was $24. I had a fairly strong feeling it would cost more in a shop, and this one looked like me and the children, so I got it. A quick look online when I got home has them priced at $35, not a bargain, but oh well.

The next thing I stumbled upon was this remote control dinosaur for $8. The funny thing is, I had purchased one last month for $10 in the Mill Park Savers, and it did not work. I had it hidden from my son and was contemplating returning it, when he discovered it and begged to keep it. Today he was with me, so there was no hiding it. It meant that him and his sister could now have one each. Upon returning home, our bonus discovery was that it works!

They have one each now, and my daughter was happy to take the broken one, bless her sweet little 2 year old soul.

The other purchase we made today was...you guessed it...another dinosaur item. This book was $2 and it is a pop up.

Previous finds from the months that I have not posted, were this sewing machine for $5. It works fine. Will wait for my boy to get a bit older first though.

This plush stegosaurus, $4. Great condition and much loved by my boy.

This scarf, that I am going to turn into a cape. $4. The colours are very washed out in this photo. The purple is actually red.

This jacket, $3. It is reversible and fits my daughter already.

This wrap for me was $4 and looked new.

And last of all was this lovely green jacket. It was $18, a bit pricey for an op shop item, but then again, how much would I have spent on a new jacket? I get lots of compliments while wearing it also. Apologies as always for the un-ironed state of my clothes and the poor light I photograph them under.
